The use of game sports for the prevention and correction of deviant behavior in adolescents

Abstract
This article is devoted to the study of the possibilities of using game sports for the prevention and correction of deviant behavior in adolescents. A conceptual analysis of works from highly rated journals over the past 5 years has been carried out, and terminology in this field has been critically reviewed. Actual gaps in research have been identified, and the novelty of the author's approach has been substantiated. The methodology included a longitudinal study involving 167 adolescents aged 13-17 years with deviant behavior. The experimental group (n=84) practiced volleyball and basketball 3 times a week according to a specially developed program. The analysis was carried out using descriptive and inductive statistical methods, and the Student and Fisher criteria were applied. The results showed a significant (p<0.01) decrease in the manifestations of deviant behavior in the experimental group: the frequency of offenses decreased by 2.7 times, the level of aggression (according to the Bass-Darkey method) - by 31.4%, with an increase in prosocial activity by 43.7%. It is concluded that the proposed approach is highly effective for correcting deviant behavior in adolescence through the mechanisms of physical activity, social learning, and team interaction.
