Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the effectiveness of the use of digital technologies in teaching foreign languages in higher education institutions. The relevance of the topic is due to the need to modernize language education in accordance with the requirements of the digital economy and the increased role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in professional activities. The purpose of the study is to identify the most effective approaches to integrating digital tools into the learning process of foreign languages and to assess their impact on learning outcomes. The methods of scientific literature analysis, questionnaires, pedagogical experiment, and statistical data processing were used in the work. The empirical basis was based on the results of a survey of 120 teachers from 15 universities and data on the academic performance of 450 students in the experimental and control groups. It was found that the systematic use of multimedia resources, online courses and mobile applications helps to increase students' motivation (correlation coefficient r=0.78), accelerate the assimilation of lexical and grammatical material (an average increase of 23%) and the development of communication skills (an increase of 18%). The factors influencing the effectiveness of the use of ICT have been identified: the level of digital competence of teachers (β=0.36), the quality of electronic resources (β=0.29), the degree of individualization of learning (β=0.24). The results obtained are important for optimizing foreign language teaching methods, developing digital content, and improving teachers' skills. The prospects for further research are related to exploring the potential of artificial intelligence and virtual reality to create an immersive language environment.
