Abstract

Amid accelerating technological diffusion, artificial intelligence has begun to weave itself into the organisational fabric of universities, secondary schools, and specialist training centres around the planet. The present study interrogates the organisational, pedagogical, and strategic consequences of this technological permeation - hereafter designated «Al+» - for the administration of interdisciplinary educational programmes operating across sharply divergent cultural and macro-economic contexts. A sequential explanatory mixed- methods design combined stratified-survey data from 387 institutions in forty-seven nations with eighty-five in- depth interviews, producing a multi-layered empirical tapestry. Quantitative modelling indicates that organisations deploying Al-mediated decision support realised a 42% increment in resource-allocation efficiency and a 37% contraction in administrative cycle time. Simultaneously, Al-infused learning-analytics environments correlated with statistically significant surges in cross-faculty collaboration $(r=0.78$, $p0.001)$ and heightened curricular plasticity vis-à-vis emergent disciplinary frontiers. Pronounced adoption asymmetries persist between high-income and low-income regions (variance ratio 3.7:1), attributable chiefly to infrastructural fragility, regulatory opacity, and shortages of specialised human capital. The findings furnish policy-makers and institutional stewards with a conceptual scaffold for balancing technological ambition against ethical, equity, and governance imperatives, whilst enriching the nascent scholarly discourse on Al-driven transformation in international, interdisciplinarily oriented education.
