Abstract

Changes in the education system involve the modernization of the educational process to develop students' competencies that correspond to the economic development vector. The labor market requires functionally literate individuals who can quickly respond to any challenges, acquire new knowledge, and apply it to solve emerging problems. This expands the scope of the competency-based approach. As part of the government's Strategy for Improving Financial Literacy, the practices of teaching financial literacy include the development of functional literacy, including financial literacy, through the study of general education subjects, project-based learning, integration of technologies, continuity, and cross-cutting technologies in the study of disciplines. The intensification of financial fraud using social engineering methods requires the improvement of anti-fraud measures, including the updating of educational content and the involvement of the most vulnerable segments of the population in financial literacy programs. To select the most effective training methods, it is necessary to create a socio-psychological profile of a fraud victim. It is important to convey to the public that it is a mistake to think that «this won't happen to me». It is necessary to understand that traps are set for everyone, and methods of deception are constantly being improved. In 2025, there will be an increase in the number of fraudulent schemes involving real estate. To avoid falling victim to such schemes, it is important to learn how to recognize fraudulent activities in a timely manner, stop communicating with fraudsters, and report such incidents to law enforcement agencies. Online courses are an accessible form of education in this regard. It is crucial not only for the course developers to provide relevant content, but also for learners to adopt a conscious approach.
