Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the quality management system of language training for students of non-linguistic specialties. The relevance of the topic is due to the growing requirements for the level of foreign language proficiency of graduates of technical and natural science fields in the context of globalization and internationalization of professional activity. The analysis of modern research shows that the existing approaches to the organization of language education in non-linguistic universities do not fully meet the modern demands of the labor market and require a systematic rethink. The purpose of the research is to develop and empirically verify a comprehensive quality management system for language training that integrates organizational, administrative, pedagogical and technological components. The research methodology is based on systematic and process approaches to educational process management and includes a set of complementary methods: pedagogical experiment, standardized questionnaires, expert interviewing, content analysis of documentation and statistical analysis of educational results. The empirical base consists of data obtained during a study conducted in 2021-2023 in 12 non-linguistic universities of various fields with the participation of 287 teachers and 1642 students. The main research results include: identification of structural and functional components of an effective quality management system for language training; identification of key performance indicators of the system; identification of organizational and pedagogical conditions that ensure the successful functioning of the system; development of a model for the implementation of the proposed system, taking into account the specifics of various types of universities. The practical significance of the research lies in the development of tools for evaluating the effectiveness of existing language training quality management systems and recommendations for their optimization. The theoretical significance lies in the expansion of scientific ideas about the quality management of language education in a non-core university.
