Abstract

Against the background of comprehensive promotion of high-quality education and the growing needs of society in the field of culture, university specialties in educational institutions in China are tasked with training universal specialists. The traditional model, focused exclusively on stage performance or school teaching in music universities, ceases to satisfy the demands of the modern labor market in the field of culture and art. The «workshop system» model, which is gaining popularity in Chinese music education, is considered as a solution to the problem. This article analyzes the current curriculum until 2026 using the example of the Institute of Music and Dance of Tsun Pedagogical University. Based on the methodology of designing educational systems (A.M. Novikov) in the context of educational management optimization theories (M.M. Potashnik), six key competencies are formulated in the training of a performer on wind instruments: a musician, a teacher, a multi-instrumentalist, a repairman, an organizer and a conductor. Four ways of implementing institutional innovations are proposed to introduce these profiles into the university's practice.: 1) the transformation of one-time practical events into official training modules with the introduction of a credit system; 2) the invitation of external instrument repair specialists to conduct permanent courses; 3) the opening of a specialized brass band conducting course; 4) the creation of an autonomous student performing workshop (working group).
